Crimping
As Baycan Elektrik A.Ş., crimping is at the forefront of our wiring harness manufacturing. This process is executed in compliance with IPC standards, based on component manufacturers’ datasheets. In our facilities, which meet all requirements for Class I, II, and III within IPC standards, we deliver sustainable quality to our customers using state-of-the-art machinery.
Our personnel, trained by an IPC CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) and working across all stages of our production, serve as CIS (Certified IPC Specialist). Our quality management system’s leadership approach adherence to these requirements ensures the efficient sustainability of processes and guarantees that products are manufactured with all necessary compliance and competence.
Know-How
By continuously following evolving technologies, we bring together our personnel who have obtained CIS certification under our custom on-the-job training program to manufacture our products at the highest quality.
Specifically for crimping, original applicators, manual crimping tools, positioners, gauges, and similar equipment matching the technical parameters in the manufacturer datasheets are utilized. All of our personnel complete the CIS training program under the guidance of experienced staff in the master trainer class and our instructor holding CIT certification in IPC Global WHMA-620B and IPC-J-STD-001E standards.
Following the crimping operation, product quality is measured by executing the tests and analyses specified by manufacturers and practitioners. The required pull-out/tensile tests and cross-section analyses specific to crimping are sampled at intervals determined by the QMS (Quality Management System), and all data is monitored through Statistical Process Control.
MES Technology
Through integration with the ERP system, we utilize artificial intelligence to conduct critical material control for our crimping operations. Since the system we developed operates as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES), all production orders are filled by generating electronic data. Consequently, we guarantee both the assembly of products with the correct components and the sustainability of technical crimping specifications.
Our entire crimping infrastructure electronically makes decisions and takes action based on error probabilities, driven by our developed KAKS (Talking Intelligent Code System) structure, stock codes, and artificial intelligence. This contributes significantly to the reliability and quality of our products.
Fully Automatic Settings
Thanks to the KAKS structure and ERP-MES integration, our system continuously evolves. Developed with WorksFx (TM), this infrastructure goes beyond SMED studies in crimping, allowing us to perform automatic machine adjustments.
While controlling all materials belonging to the product through our user-guiding infrastructure, we generate in-depth traceability records. In order to preserve quality in a sustainable manner, we automatically upload production parameters matching the MPS and crimping applicator to the machines. As a result, we successfully maintain technical setup times spent during product changeovers at the lowest possible levels.
By utilizing electronic communication between machines and internet of things technologies, we are developing the capability to revise automatic uploading via artificial intelligence support based on quality results retrieved from datasheet queries.
