Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce visited Baycan Elektrik as part of International Women’s Day on March 8th, bringing her together with women working on the production lines. The visit highlighted the crucial role of women’s employment in manufacturing and emphasized the growing importance of female labor in the industrial sector.
Providing wiring harness and integrated cable assembly solutions to the aerospace, defense, automotive, and white goods sectors since 1967, Baycan Elektrik operates with a production culture where women constitute 75% of its manufacturing workforce.
During her visit to Baycan Elektrik on International Women’s Day, March 8th, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce toured the production facilities, conversed with employees, and drew attention to the valuable contributions of women in industrial manufacturing.
As part of the visit, a Women’s Health Education Session was also organized for the employees.
Assessments shared during the visit underscored that increasing female participation in production processes plays a vital role in both economic development and social progress.
Baycan Elektrik executives stated that women’s employment is one of the fundamental pillars of their corporate culture, highlighting that the ratio of female managers within the company has reached 55%, while the ratio of women serving in leadership positions on the production lines has reached 80%.
